             Remark Web Survey 3.0.1 Update

Thank you for using Remark Web Survey. The Remark Web Survey 3.0.1 
Update adds some new features and corrects a few minor problems 
since the 3.0 release. To install the update, double click 
the rws301up.exe file to launch the update and then follow the 
on-screen instructions.

	UPDATING THE SERVER COMPONENT

The following scripts have been modified and should be posted
to your web site according to the instructions outlined in Section
1.3 of the User's Guide:

	Note: Please make a backup copy of your existing scripts
	before overwritting them with the new versions.

	a. rws3.pl
	b. rwsad3.pl
	c. rwsutils3.pl
	d. rwsimg3.pl
	e. rwstest3.pl (post only when troubleshooting)

The updated scripts can be found in the Scripts subdirectory of
your primary Remark Web Survey 3 installation location.

The following features have been added to the Remark Web Survey
software since the release of version 3.0:

Q1411.   ENHANCED BRANCHING OPTIONS

The drop-down list of fields that is displayed in the branching
window when setting up branching patterns can now optionally
only list fields for the active page.

Q1417.   ADDITIONAL SHORTCUTS FOR KEYBOARD USERS

Several shortcuts were modified or added to make using a 
keyboard for navigation easier. These include: 

	a. Shortcuts were added to the Auto Form Upload window.
	b. When using the Auto Form Upload window, the Upload
	button will have the focus once you have logged in.
	This will allow you to press the Enter key to upload
	a form. 
	c. When entering passwords into a password element,
	pressing the Enter key will move the active cell
	to the first cell in the next row.

The following fixes were made:

Q1388.  MULTIPLE LINE DROP-DOWN LISTS NOW SIZING CORRECTLY

When only one answer choice was permitted, multi-line drop-
down lists were becoming single line drop-down lists. This
update corrects the problem so that the lists remain multi-
line.

Q1386.  INVALID ADMINEMAIL WARNING IN RWSTEST3.PL SCRIPT

The Remark Web Survey test script reported that the AdminEmail
address listed was incorrect. This update corrects the problem
so that the AdminEmail option is no longer used.

Q1387.  PROGRAM CLOSING UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN EXITING

When closing a form that has changes made to it, if you 
selected to Cancel the close operation, the software
would close without saving the changes. This updates corrects
the problem so that you can either save the form as it is or
cancel the operation all together, keeping the software open.

Q1393.  NEGATIVE NUBMERS AND DECIMALS IN GRADING POINT ASSIGNMENTS

Remark Web Survey was not reporting negative numbers or decimal
places properly when used in the No Response area of point
assignments. This update corrects the problem so that Remark
Web Survey will correctly incorporate negative numbers and 
decimals when grading tests that have questions with no response
selected.

Q1420.  RELATIVE PATHS FOR DATA SCRIPT URL

When using a relative path (e.g., not a complete URL) for the
Data Admin Script URL, Pause page email reminders did not 
contain the full URL back to the form. This update corrects the
problem by using the path from the Admin Script URL and/or other
environment variables to create a full URL for the Pause page
reminder email message.

Q1432.  CONVERTED TEMPLATES WITH HYPERLINKS

An Error #9000 occurred when converting templates from version
2.x or 1.x that had label hyperlinks in them. This update 
corrects the problem so that older templates convert properly.
