Thank you for using Remark Web Survey. The Remark Web Survey 3.0.2 
Update adds some new features and corrects a few minor problems 
since the 3.0 release. To install the update, double click 
the Rws302up.exe file to launch the update and then follow the 
on-screen instructions.

UPDATING THE SERVER COMPONENT

The rwsad3.pl script hase been modified and should be posted
to your web site according to the instructions outlined in Section
1.3 of the User's Guide:

	Note: Please make a backup copy of your existing script
	before overwritting them with the new versions.

		
The updated script can be found in the Scripts subdirectory of
your primary Remark Web Survey 3 installation location after you 
install the 3.0.2 update.

Q1421.  REMARK QUICK STATS ENHANCEMENTS

Several items were added to Remark Quick Stats to increase 
functionality:

	a. Text, images and lines can be added to reports.
	b. Graphs can be displayed in black and white mode.
	c. Percentiles were added to the calculated statistics
	in the Test Statistics, Respondent Statistics and Item
	Statistics reports.
	d. Names can be assigned to subtests.
	e. Font characteristics can be specified separately
	for report headers and footers.
	f. When exporting data to the ASCII format from 
	Remark Quick Stats, only those statistics that are
	displayed will be exported.
	g. Grade templates that are saved in the Grade 
	Wizard are now stored as encrypted files.
	h. The Remark Quick Stats grade wizard now supports
	multiple versions of a test.
	i. The same question(s) can now be included in multiple
	subtests.
	j. The Student Grade Report can now optionally display
	subtest information.

The following fixes were made in the 3.0.2 update:

Q1433.  ERROR SAVING TO ODBC DATA SOURCES WHEN SAVING LONG TEXT FIELDS

When only one answer choice was permitted, multi-line drop-
down lists were becoming single line drop-down lists. This
update corrects the problem so that the lists remain multi-
line.

Q1470.  ERROR 9000 WHEN COPYING & PASTING BETWEEN INSTANCES OF THE SOFTWARE

A problem was corrected where extra rows of information would be pasted when
copying information from one instance of the Designer component to another
instance of the Designer component.

Q1483.  ERROR 9000 WHEN SAVING DATA VIA ODBC TO ORACLE 9i 

A problem was corrected where an "invalid table name" error would occur
when saving data to Oracle 9i via the ODBC driver.

Q1507.  CORRUPT FORM WHEN PASTING ANSWER ITEMS

A problem was corrected that occured When pasting answer elements on top 
of other answers The paste operation was calculating the wrong row to 
insert the copied answer elements and thus was corrupting part of the form.

Q1519.  ADMIN PASSWORD CHANGES WERE NOT CASE SENSITIVE

A problem was corrected where When changing the admin password, 
the script would store the password in lower case even if upper
case characters were used.

Q1522.  MORE THAN 10 BRANCH SEQUENCES ON A PAGE 

A problem was corrected that occurred if a form page had more than 10 
branches. The config file format used to store the branch sequences has been 
updated to properly list all of the branch patterns.

Q1592. SKEWNESS, KURTOSIS & MEAN ABSOLUTE DEVIATION STATISTICS

A problem was corrected when retrieving data for the calculation of the Skewness, 
Kurtosis and Mean Absolute Deviation statistics.
